Oscillosignum distorta Genus: Granular, clear-tiped pseudopods formed from cell body as well as anterior margin, not swung at bases during retraction; pseudopod arches, fastens at tip; body passes through it (Illustrated Guide, 1985).
Species: Rounded, 40-50 μm, with blunt pseudopods; radiate, body 30-35 μm ; locomotive, 80-140 μm long, longitudinally ridged; pseudopods from margin and surface; pseudopods, clear, short, blunt, 10-30 μm long; or 70-120 long from body surface; uroid temporary; nucleus spherical, 8-12 μm (Illustrated Guide, 1985).
